Quang Tri: Successfully rescued many people trapped in flood waters

On the evening of November 3, the People's Committee of Hieu Giang Commune, Quang Tri Province, said that the local government and the Commune Police force coordinated with the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team No. 1 of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Quang Tri Provincial Police, to promptly and successfully rescue many local people trapped in floodwaters.

Specifically, in the late afternoon of the same day, Hieu Giang Commune Police received a report that some local people were trapped due to the rapidly rising floodwaters on Hieu River while catching crickets and fishing. The incident occurred in the Hieu River area in An Thai Village, Hieu Giang Commune.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area No. 1 coordinated with the Police of Hieu Giang Commune to organize forces and vehicles to carry out the rescue work. At about 7:00 p.m. the same day, the forces brought all 4 people safely to shore.

In addition to the above 4 cases, there were 2 more cases in Hieu Giang commune trapped at a village communal house due to the rapidly rising floodwaters. The People's Committee of Hieu Giang commune mobilized the Dau Binh village's shock troops to rescue and bring the 2 cases safely to shore...
