
 Due to heavy rains in recent days, the inter-village road to Na residential group (Phong Nha commune, Quang Tri) has been eroded and is threatening many households. According to records, the entire embankment of the road has been eroded and some broken positions have appeared, which is very dangerous. Phong Nha commune authorities have placed warning signs for people and vehicles traveling through this route.
 Mr. Cao Xuan Tien, Phong Nha commune, Quang Tri province said that due to the heavy rain and floods that have lasted for more than ten days, this road has become more and more seriously eroded. In particular, the heavy rains in the past four days have caused the Son River to flow, causing the road embankment system to be eroded, eroded and washed away by the water. People here feel very worried.
 In Thanh Sen 1 village (Phong Nha commune, Quang Tri), riverbank erosion has eaten deep into the roadside, about 15m from people's houses, causing Mr. Hoang Hanh (Phong Nha commune) to worry: "If the heavy rain continues, it is possible that people's houses will be washed away, not just the road, because the higher the water level, the stronger the erosion."
 In addition, heavy rains in recent days have also caused a landslide of about 40m on the northern bank of Xuan Son ferry (Phong Nha commune). While this is the only road for hundreds of households. Local authorities had to erect temporary bamboo barriers to warn of danger. According to the review, in Phong Nha commune alone, there were about 9 landslides on inter-village, inter-commune and residential roads.
 Mr. Tran Huu Lam, Vice Chairman of Phong Nha Commune People's Committee (Quang Tri) said that people have reported the landslides to the local authorities and the commune has urgently inspected them, and initially set up barriers and placed warning signs to ensure the safety of people and vehicles. After the flood, the local authorities will submit a long-term safety plan to all levels. 

 Currently, in Quang Tri province, there are 51 landslide points, including dozens of points in residential areas and traffic routes. Of which, there are 5 National Highway locations, 11 Provincial Road locations concentrated in the communes: Dakrong, Kim Ngan, Le Thuy, Nam Hai Lang, Huong Hiep. Ta Rut, Phong Nha, Tan Gianh, Khe Sanh ....
 In addition, heavy rains have flooded 139 locations, more than 5,000 households with more than 15,000 people, many areas have been temporarily isolated. Of which, Quang Trach commune was the most affected with more than 1,200 households flooded.
 Mr. Tran Quang Trung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Trach Commune, said that the flood situation will be more complicated in the coming days. Currently, the local government is focusing on supporting people in flooded areas, minimizing damage to people and property. In addition, Quang Trach Commune also focuses on forecasting and warning so that people can proactively deploy response plans.
Up to now, Quang Tri province has evacuated nearly 350 households, while ensuring enough food and drinking water, and has promptly supplied essential goods to isolated areas. Currently, armed forces and organizations are closely coordinating with local authorities to proactively respond to the developments of heavy rain.

 On the afternoon of November 3, Mr. Tran Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, Head of the Provincial Civil Defense Command, chaired a meeting of the Command Committee to deploy response work to the flood situation in the province.
 Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong requested leaders of localities with landslide risk areas to grasp and direct the evacuation of 100% of people to safe places. The Provincial Military Command urgently directed 5 defense zones to mobilize forces, vehicles, and equipment to areas at risk of rising floodwaters to coordinate with local authorities to promptly support people.
 In addition, the Border Guard forces on the land border and the sea border are responsible for mobilizing vehicles and human resources to support localities on the two border lines in responding to floods. Quang Tri Provincial Police deployed all forces to flooded locations to regulate and guide traffic on National Highways and Provincial Roads; proactively provided vehicles and forces so that they could be mobilized immediately when necessary.
 The Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Industry and Trade and the Vietnam Fatherland Front to mobilize more essential supplies to promptly support localities. The health sector proactively prepares, reserves and distributes all kinds of medical supplies, medicines and equipment to be ready to respond to emergency situations.
