As the private sector increasingly asserts its role as one of the key drivers of the economy, young entrepreneurs in Dien Bien are demonstrating a spirit of innovation, boldness, and ambition. From manufacturing, trade, and tourism to agriculture, many young businesses have been contributing to job creation, increasing local revenue, and spreading the spirit of entrepreneurship and social responsibility.

This role was further affirmed at the Vietnam Private Economic Forum 2026 - the local dialogue round held in Dien Bien, themed "Vietnam's Private Economy: Institutional Breakthroughs - Public-Private Partnerships - Conquering the Era of Growth". At this forum, many opinions from Dien Bien provincial leaders and experts also affirmed the increasingly important role of the private sector in socio-economic development. Notably, Dien Bien province was chosen as the opening location for the Northwest regional dialogue series of the Forum. This demonstrates the development potential, contributions, and the striving spirit of the local young entrepreneurs. Currently, along with the digital transformation, green economic development, and new consumer trends, many young businesses in the province have boldly invested in technology, expanded their business areas, improved product quality, and built their own brands. They are also demonstrating a keen ability to grasp market needs and exploit local advantages in areas such as agriculture , education, experiential tourism, trade, and construction, contributing to the dynamic appearance of the province's private economic sector.

Mr. Luu Cong Ruyen, Director of Hung Duyen Co., Ltd. in Dien Bien province, is one of the exemplary entrepreneurs who adheres to the principle of developing production effectively while creating jobs and increasing income for workers.

A prime example among young entrepreneurs is Mr. Luu Cong Ruyen, Director of Hung Duyen Co., Ltd. in Dien Bien province and a member of the Executive Board of the Dien Bien Young Entrepreneurs Association. Starting in the construction materials manufacturing and trading sector with approximately 20 product lines, he has gradually expanded his business, achieving an annual revenue of around 50 billion VND and providing stable employment for over 120 local workers. The company is also planning to expand into the mining and mineral processing sector to increase revenue, contribute to the state budget, and create more jobs for local workers. Mr. Ruyen stated: “In the context of increasing competition, for businesses to develop sustainably, they must proactively innovate their management thinking, improve product quality, and boldly apply science and technology to production. I believe that today's businesses not only need to develop production and business but also need to be responsible for contributing to the community and the overall development of the province.” Besides the construction sector, many young entrepreneurs in Dien Bien are also making their mark by exploiting the potential of agriculture. Among them is Ms. Nguyen My Linh, Director of Huong Linh Dien Bien Co., Ltd., with her focus on building a brand for ancient Shan Tuyet tea from Tua Chua. Ms. Linh shared: Starting her business in 2018 at a very young age, she has persistently collaborated with highland people to form a production, processing, and consumption chain for Shan Tuyet tea. To date, the company has partnered with nearly 400 households to produce tea on 32 hectares and purchases raw materials from over 600 households in neighboring communes, creating jobs for approximately 1,000 workers. In business development, the company focuses on improving product quality and applying modern processing technology. Ms. Linh hopes that the company's activities can promote the value of local agricultural products while simultaneously boosting the private economy and developing sustainable livelihoods for the people of Tua Chua highlands.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong, Chairman of the Dien Bien Young Entrepreneurs Association, stated: Currently, Dien Bien province has over 1,700 young businesses, mainly small and medium-sized enterprises, of which nearly 1,000 are operating regularly. This force plays a crucial role in promoting production and business, creating jobs, and increasing budget revenue for the locality. In recent years, the province, together with the Dien Bien Young Entrepreneurs Association, has organized many activities to connect, promote trade, support startups, and create conditions for young entrepreneurs to exchange experiences, learn from each other, and expand their markets. In particular, Dien Bien province is also focusing on implementing many solutions to improve the investment and business environment, accelerate administrative procedure reforms, and support businesses in accessing new mechanisms and policies in line with Resolution No. 68 of the Politburo on developing the private economy as an important driving force of the national economy. In addition, the province's efforts to promote digital transformation, support innovation, and encourage production linkages along the value chain are opening up more development opportunities for young businesses in the province.

From specific business models to a sense of social responsibility, the young entrepreneurs of Dien Bien are increasingly asserting their pioneering role in the development of the local private economy. With the support of the government and an increasingly improved investment and business environment, these young entrepreneurs are continuing to contribute to creating new momentum for the province's socio-economic development in the new phase.
