Sitting in the showroom, Mr. Nguyen Van Ha, Director of Hung An Tea Joint Stock Company, personally brewed tea for guests. This is a new product recently launched by the company: wolfberry-infused tea. The company currently offers many tea products that have been chosen by consumers, such as jasmine-infused tea, wolfberry-infused tea, Cori tea, Mat Tra tea, green tea, black tea, etc. As he poured the tea for guests, the aroma of tea and flowers blended together in the showroom. A gentle fragrance wafted up the nose, followed by a pleasantly sweet and slightly bitter taste that lingered in the throat. Tea connoisseurs, upon discovering this, would surely seek it out.

Discussing the company's business story after 51 years of establishment, Mr. Ha said: To have diverse tea products reaching consumers and for export, the company has had to change its methods. To date, the company has invested tens of billions of VND to renovate tea gardens and hills. It has introduced new, high-quality, high-yield tea varieties to replace old tea plantations. It has applied organic farming solutions to create an organic raw material area for processing. It has also renovated and upgraded the company's tea processing factory. It has invested in advanced tea processing machinery and technology. It has gradually retrained its tea processing workforce. It has grasped current consumer trends and tea tastes to guide its product offerings... In the first eight months of 2024, Hung An Tea Joint Stock Company produced 976 tons of finished tea products, an increase of 115% compared to the same period last year. Revenue reached VND 28.1 billion, a 109% increase compared to the same period in 2023; contributed over VND 1 billion to the state budget, a 117% increase; and paid VND 570 million in employee insurance, equivalent to 101% of the same period in 2023. Recently, the company launched a wolfberry-infused tea product to meet the growing demand for tea among consumers. Currently, the company is focusing on processing high-end teas; producing additional tea powder products for food and skincare/beauty products to meet the increasingly sophisticated tastes and preferences of domestic consumers and for export to other countries. By 2024, the company's processed tea products have established a foothold in the US, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, etc. To maintain stable production, the company has partnered with many facilities in Bac Quang, Quang Binh, and Vi Xuyen districts to purchase additional fresh tea leaves as raw materials for processing. Securing the company's raw material supply chain, expanding procurement partnerships, and stabilizing export markets are key directions for the company's sustainable development.
The company currently provides employment for 55 insured workers. In addition, it creates jobs for hundreds of seasonal workers in the areas where the business is located. Hung An Tea Joint Stock Company is not only a model for sustainable agricultural and food business development in the province, but also a symbol and a pillar of support for the people of Ha Giang, who have a strong advantage in tea cultivation.
