Vocational training linked to practical experience.
According to estimates, the workforce employed in economic sectors in the province is nearly 748,800 people, with an unemployment rate of only 3.2% and an underemployment rate of 1.59%. In the first 11 months of 2025, the province created jobs for 44,432 workers, achieving 105.8% of the annual plan; of which 43,052 were employed domestically and 1,380 were employed abroad. Vocational training also saw many positive changes with nearly 33,000 graduates, of whom 28,800 found employment (reaching nearly 88%).
Vocational schools and continuing education centers in the area organize practical vocational training in fields such as: automobile repair, agricultural machinery, mechanics, crop cultivation, animal husbandry, sewing, etc. Immediately after graduation, students can enter the labor market. During a practical session in the workshop, Tran Quoc Khai, a student in the automotive technology program at Tuyen Quang College of Technology, attentively disassembles and reassems an engine under the dedicated guidance of his instructor. Khai shared: “I haven’t graduated yet, but I’ve already been contacted by businesses in the province for recruitment. After graduation, I will choose to work in the province, applying my knowledge to serve the community and develop the local economy.”
According to Comrade To Hoang Linh, Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Affairs: The province has promoted the development of rural human resources in a practical and effective manner, resolutely linking vocational training with the urgent needs of cooperatives, businesses, and the labor market. As a result, a large number of young people have received systematic and in-depth education, ready to return to their hometowns. They enthusiastically apply their knowledge and skills to start businesses, build sustainable and exemplary economic models, and create stable and long-term livelihoods. Young people also actively participate in the ranks of high-quality labor in the locality, contributing to limiting the "brain drain" and igniting hope for a stable and prosperous life right in their homeland.

Creating livelihoods locally
In the context of rural economic development, many young people, after receiving vocational training at professional schools and continuing education centers, have become shining examples of entrepreneurship. Instead of seeking job opportunities far away, they utilize their acquired knowledge and skills to develop suitable economic models, opening new avenues in the production of specialty products and leveraging local strengths in a sustainable manner.
A prime example is Mr. Ly Thanh Nhan, Director of the Phin Ho Tea Processing Cooperative in Thong Nguyen commune. Born into a family with generations of tea producers, Mr. Nhan learned modern processing techniques at intensive training courses both within and outside the province before immediately applying them to the cooperative. After taking over, he innovated the process, applied organic production methods, and built the "Fin Ho Tea" brand with 5 main product lines, including 2 OCOP 5-star products and 1 OCOP 4-star product. The cooperative links with over 200 households, creating regular employment for 15 workers with an income of approximately 8 million VND/month. Last year, the cooperative actively participated in major events inside and outside the province to introduce and connect with consumers for its products.
For example, Mr. Ha Van Tung from Gao Dinh village, Thai Hoa commune, is a prime example of the entrepreneurial spirit in the commune. After studying veterinary medicine, he rejected attractive job opportunities in the city and decided to stay in his hometown to start his own business. With family support and borrowed capital, he built a closed-loop pig and chicken farming model, combined with veterinary services. The farm is scientifically designed, ensuring biosecurity, strict disease control, waste treatment using biogas digesters and biological bedding, improving meat quality and maintaining stable prices.

Thanks to his expertise, he directly supervises disease prevention, administers regular vaccinations, and monitors the health of livestock, thereby minimizing risks and increasing economic efficiency. Mr. Tung maintains a farming scale of 1,500 to 2,000 chickens and 70 to 120 pigs per batch, selling approximately 20 tons of pork and 15 tons of chicken annually, earning a profit of over 250 million VND. At the same time, he is also a dedicated veterinary officer, guiding local people on disease prevention and livestock care, contributing to sustainable livestock development.
Amidst the vibrant spring colors in the villages of Tuyen Quang, each economic model and each example of young people establishing businesses locally ignites the joy of welcoming Tet, bringing hope for a prosperous, warm, and vibrant new year.
