On the same day, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc inspected the construction progress of the project to build a regional connecting road from Tan Chau to Chau Doc, connecting with Kien Giang (old) and Dong Thap provinces (abbreviated as route N1). The project has a total length of nearly 21km (total investment capital of more than VND 2,100 billion), divided into 3 construction and installation packages. Packages No. 17 and 27 have been completed. Package No. 28 (construction of main works from Km7+000 to Km15+451). The construction progress of the whole project reached more than 94.5%; 80% of the volume was completed.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested units to overcome all difficulties, promptly complete the project, put it into operation on August 19, 2025, to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
