Both an information channel and a way to share business stories.
Speaking at the seminar, VCCI Vice President Vo Tan Thanh said that 2025 is identified as the year of acceleration, breakthrough, creating momentum to implement socio-economic development goals for the period 2025-2030. In particular, Vietnam has just rearranged the administrative boundaries of many provinces and cities, streamlined the apparatus, and improved the effectiveness and efficiency of the political system in the spirit of Resolution 18-NQ/TW of the Central Executive Committee.
According to Mr. Thanh, after nearly 40 years of renovation, the private economic sector has affirmed its key role in the economy. Currently, the private economy contributes about 50% of GDP, creates jobs for the majority of the workforce and participates more and more deeply in the global supply chain. In the first 6 months of 2025, GDP growth is estimated at about 7.3%, among the highest in the region and the world, reflecting the confidence of domestic and foreign businesses and investors.
However, it is also necessary to frankly acknowledge that the majority of private enterprises are small and medium-sized, with limited technological capacity, management, and human resources, and modest ability to participate in the global value chain. To overcome these limitations, institutional support, resources, and especially the support of the press are extremely important.
Resolution 68 emphasizes the need to promote communication, raise awareness and action, arouse the entrepreneurial spirit, start-ups, self-confidence, self-reliance, and national pride of all people to promote the strong development of the private economy. “That shows that the press is both an information channel, a companion, and a spiritual driving force, contributing to spreading good models, good stories, creative ways of doing things, encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit and social responsibility of businesses,” emphasized VCCI Vice President Vo Tan Thanh.

On the business side, Mr. Phan Minh Thong, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Green Business Association and Chairman of Phuc Sinh Group, expressed the positive changes brought about by Resolution 68 and the indispensable role of the press as a bridge for the development of the Vietnamese private economic sector.
“Resolution 68 has breathed new life into private enterprises, creating a wonderful space and spirit for them. The recognition of the role of the private economy has created a strong belief and inspiration, helping businesses to be more confident in their role. Hopefully, the press will work closely with businesses, not only sharing stories of difficulties but also spreading successful models. Disseminating these success stories is considered a way to save a lot of effort and money for society,” said Mr. Thong.
According to Mr. Thong, more importantly, the press is also an effective bridge between businesses and government agencies. Thanks to this connection, many problems that have been pending for many years for businesses, sometimes taking 2-5 years to be resolved, have now made clear progress after only 6 months and have been resolved en masse after one year. "The companionship of the press has helped companies boldly develop, express their opinions and become stronger businesses," Mr. Thong shared.
Promoting private economic policy communication

Appreciating the role of the press in promoting private economic policies, Mr. Nguyen Duc Lenh, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2, also said that immediately after Resolution 68/2025 was issued, there were many propaganda contents organized by the press agencies. "It is the orientations from the press that have contributed to helping the banking industry operate more effectively and practically in providing capital sources for the business community, especially the private business sector," said Mr. Lenh.
Journalist Nguyen Tan Phong, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association, said that in 2025, the whole country will enter a historical period - a new development period with the aspiration to become a powerful and prosperous nation in the middle of the 21st century. The role of the private economic sector is increasingly affirmed and strongly promoted according to Resolution 68 of the Politburo .

After merging with Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City is a dynamic economic region with a large area and a large number of enterprises. The mission of information, connection and dissemination is both a challenge and a responsibility. "With such a historical context, the role of revolutionary journalism will need to be promoted in building a healthy, transparent and sustainable business environment. Notable among these is the role of information, creation, orientation, and guidance of awareness and action, contributing to mutual support for the spirit of entrepreneurship, business, innovation, spreading cultural and corporate brands, increasing the prestige and competitiveness of domestic enterprises as well as in the international market", journalist Nguyen Tan Phong expressed.
