According to the Provincial Project Management Board for Transportation and Civil Works, the project connecting the Western Provincial Road (DT.638) to the coastal road (DT.639) in Phu My district commenced in June 2022 and is expected to be completed in June 2025, with a total investment of nearly 818.6 billion VND from the central and provincial budgets. The road has a total length of 19.20 km, a roadbed width of 12m, and includes 2 bridges along the route.
Although the weather has been unfavorable since the Lunar New Year, with heavy rain affecting the progress of construction of the crushed stone base and foundation, especially the asphalt concrete, the contractors have basically completed the 03 construction packages of the project.

Meanwhile, the DT.633 bypass project, the section from Ghenh Mountain to the coastal road (DT.639) in Phu Cat district, commenced in December 2022 and is also expected to be completed in June 2025, with a total investment of 336 billion VND from the provincial budget. The road has a total length of 3.534 km, a roadbed width of 20.5 m, and includes 2 bridges along the entire route.
Since receiving the land, the contractors have basically commenced construction on schedule. They have largely completed the K98 earth embankment and drainage system, and are currently constructing the crushed stone base and installing bridge girders. It is expected that asphalt paving will begin in the second quarter of 2025 to complete the road and put it into operation.

After hearing the report from the Provincial Project Management Board for Transportation and Civil Works and conducting an on-site inspection, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang highly appreciated the Board's decisiveness in managing the quality and progress of construction projects, as well as the efforts of the construction units in implementing the projects.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang requested that contractors take advantage of favorable weather conditions, concentrate sufficient manpower and equipment, and organize construction rationally to accelerate the construction work to meet the project's progress requirements; strictly manage the progress, quality, and volume of construction work, ensuring labor safety and traffic safety in accordance with regulations.
The Provincial Project Management Board for Transportation and Civil Works assigns project managers to inspect, review, and expedite construction progress; strengthens control and strict management of materials used in construction to ensure the quality of the finished product. For adjusted and supplementary items (roadbed, road surface, traffic islands, lighting at intersections, etc.) for which the Department of Construction has already issued notices of appraisal, the Board should promptly complete the procedures for approving the adjusted and supplementary construction drawings to incorporate them into the appropriate construction packages.
During the inspection, the relevant units committed to ensuring that the projects are completed on schedule by mid-2025.
