Determining that propaganda plays a very important role in raising awareness about IUU fishing, the province has stepped up propaganda, training and dissemination of the Fisheries Law and its guiding documents. , especially regulations against IUU fishing for fishing communities. At the same time, regularly patrol, inspect and control fishing activities in the sea areas; monitoring fishing vessels through the navigation system and regularly reminding through the radio communication system. Monitor 100% of fishing vessels operating at sea through the system to receive, process and provide information on cruise monitoring data; at the same time coordinate with relevant agencies and units to handle fishing vessels that cross the sea boundary, fail to maintain operation or disable cruise monitoring equipment during operations at sea.
Bac Lieu also developed regulations on coordination with coastal provinces and cities to control provincial fishing vessels operating in areas outside the province.
