With diverse content, professional format, and well-organized activities, the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) in Binh Duong attracted a large number of participants.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the Reunification of the Country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province, in coordination with local authorities, successfully organized many activities. Among them, the 2025 Binh Duong Traditional Boat Race and the Binh Duong New City Half Marathon attracted nearly 5,000 athletes from within and outside the province.

In addition to the main events of boat racing and marathon, people attending the competition on the Bach Dang River in Phu Cuong Ward can also revisit heroic images and historical milestones of Thu Dau Mot City and the country through vividly displayed images and content.

According to our reporter's observations, many activities organized in various localities attracted large numbers of people. Specifically, at Lai Thieu embankment park (Thuan An City), an art program celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam and national reunification was held with the theme "The Nation's Complete Joy." The program was organized by the Thuan An City Cultural, Information and Sports Center. Prior to that, a parade of decorated floats for propaganda and promotion in 2025 was also held with the theme "The Great Victory of Spring 1975 - the strength of national unity, the aspiration for peace , national independence, and the will for national reunification."

The competition attracted 10 communes and wards of Thuan An City, each participating with 10 elaborately decorated and meaningful floats. As a result, Binh Nham ward won first prize; An Phu ward came in second; and Vinh Phu ward took third place. After judging, the floats paraded along the main streets of Thuan An City.

Also on this occasion, the Dĩ An City Cultural, Information and Sports Center organized 5 mobile cultural performances to serve workers. This activity aims to enrich the cultural and spiritual life of workers in rented accommodations and densely populated areas in Dĩ An City.

In early May, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province continued to organize two sports tournaments: the 2025 Binh Duong Provincial Billiards Championship and the 2025 Binh Duong Provincial Traditional Martial Arts Championship.

Reportedly, the tournaments were organized to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).
