After more than 3 years of implementing the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction giai đoạn 2021 - 2025, Women's Unions at all levels in Bac Giang province have accompanied and supported their members, especially women in difficult circumstances and ethnic minorities, to actively develop their economy ; build good models, and gradually escape poverty.

Through collaborative programs with the Social Policy Bank and the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank branches in districts and cities, the Women's Union at all levels in Bac Giang province has received entrusted and guaranteed loans totaling over 4,000 billion VND, helping more than 54,000 women borrow capital to develop their family economies. Inspection and monitoring have shown that the loan capital has been used by women for its intended purpose, achieving effective results and empowering them to take ownership of their family economies. When ethnic minority women demonstrate their ability to contribute to the family economy and the local community, their status will gradually improve both within the family and in society.

Currently, 45 ethnic groups live in Bac Giang province, of which 6 major ethnic minority groups make up the majority: the Nung, Dao, Tay, San Diu, Hoa, San Chi, and Cao Lan, with a total of 257,258 ethnic minority people, of which women account for 49%.

Furthermore, ethnic minority women constitute more than half of the total ethnic minority women in Bac Giang province. They play a crucial role in the household economy, as evidenced by their participation in almost all stages of production, household economic management, and expenditure management. Ethnic minority women are responsible for tasks such as sowing seeds, tending fields, growing vegetables, harvesting, and preserving agricultural products… but they also bear primary responsibility for livestock farming, considering it a form of "household chore" or "extra work."

Women from ethnic minority groups are hardworking and resilient, but they are constrained by many family and social customs and traditions. Taking the initiative in economic activities is never easy, as even the initial idea and implementation face numerous difficulties and obstacles. However, with willpower and determination, many women from ethnic minority groups in Bac Giang province have boldly and confidently implemented successful entrepreneurial ideas linked to local strengths. They are supported by women's associations at all levels, especially in assisting women with access to loans for economic development.
