During the period before, during, and after the Lunar New Year and this year's spring festival, Bac Giang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company is committed to serving the needs of the people well and not increasing ticket prices.
Ready to serve
According to the leaders of Bac Giang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company, this year's Lunar New Year holiday will last 9 days, from January 25, 2025 to February 2, 2025 (corresponding to the 26th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Dragon - the 5th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Snake).
This is an important holiday for every Vietnamese citizen. Due to the impact of illegal taxis, disguised contract vehicles, ride-sharing services, and other forms of transportation, coupled with the rapid growth of private vehicles, passenger travel demand is not expected to increase dramatically.
Bac Giang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company always focuses on investing in and upgrading its vehicles to best serve the transportation needs of the people.
Currently, transportation vehicles have a very low average seat occupancy rate of only about 35%, so they can still meet the travel needs of passengers. According to the pattern, peak days usually start from January 19th, 2025 to February 7th, 2025 (i.e., the 20th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Dragon - the 10th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Snake).
This is the time when students, self-employed individuals, and others begin their Lunar New Year holiday, returning to their hometowns to prepare for the Kitchen God ceremony and celebrate the traditional national New Year.
This year, due to the impact of the global economic recession, domestic businesses are facing many difficulties, having to scale back production and operations, and cutting back on the workforce, leading to unemployment. Therefore, it is expected that the number of travelers will not increase dramatically but will increase slightly before the start of the national holiday and before the return to work. During this period, the number of travelers is expected to increase by about 30-35% compared to normal days.
With the current operating conditions of transportation vehicles, the seat occupancy rate is only 35%, which still meets the travel needs of passengers. However, for some routes to Hanoi city such as My Dinh, Gia Lam, and Yen Nghia, congestion may occur at certain times, therefore, it is necessary to arrange reserve vehicles on these routes to help alleviate passenger congestion.
Currently, Bac Giang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company has developed a plan and is ready to serve the travel needs of people before, during, and after the Lunar New Year 2025.
Therefore, the company mobilized 100% of its available vehicles on the routes to serve passengers, and also arranged 5 reserve contract vehicles to reinforce passenger flow when necessary. Staff were assigned to closely monitor and supervise passenger traffic at the terminals, and plans were in place to regulate vehicles to alleviate passenger congestion in case of sudden surges.
Environmental hygiene measures, such as maintaining clean vehicles, are consistently implemented, along with safe and flexible disease prevention and control measures. Vehicles must meet technical safety and environmental protection requirements before being put into operation.
The company also emphasizes to every driver and onboard service staff the importance of maintaining a high level of responsibility in serving passengers attentively, safely, courteously, and respectfully, while also upholding traffic safety laws and regulations.
Strictly prohibited are speeding, reckless driving, exceeding the speed limit, violating driving time regulations, carrying the correct load, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, transporting flammable or explosive goods, prohibited goods, livestock, poultry and livestock/poultry products of unknown origin or without health quarantine certificates, and ensuring all passengers are cleared from bus stations to prevent anyone from being left behind and unable to catch a ride home for Tet.
At the same time, enhance a sense of responsibility and strictly implement disease prevention and control measures. Publicly display fare prices and the hotline number 19008293 on vehicles, maintain current fares, and do not increase prices during Tet.
No increase in ticket prices.
Specifically, buses serving the Southern provinces during Tet (Lunar New Year) will depart on January 25, 2025 (December 26th in the Lunar calendar), with the company arranging buses according to passenger demand. Buses departing after January 25, 2025 will cease operation.
After the Lunar New Year, from February 1st, 2025 (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year), buses will operate according to the registered schedule, with the company arranging buses accordingly based on passenger traffic.
In particular, during this year's Tet holiday, despite forecasts of increased travel demand, Bac Giang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company is committed to not raising ticket prices.
For routes serving the northern provinces: By January 27, 2025 (the 29th day of the Lunar New Year), all buses will operate normally. On January 28, 2025 (the 30th day of the Lunar New Year), buses for round-trip journeys will operate normally (depending on actual demand and passenger traffic, the company will adjust bus schedules accordingly). However, buses for round-trip journeys over two days will cease operation.
During the Lunar New Year holiday period of the Year of the Snake 2025, from January 19th to January 28th, 2025, and from February 4th, 2025, the company will arrange vehicles to operate continuously to ensure sufficient transportation for the public.
Based on the actual travel needs of the public, and to proactively address situations where passenger numbers surge and require prompt and timely vehicle dispatch to alleviate congestion, the company's fleet will deploy 5 contracted vehicles daily, with 1 to 2 reserve vehicles (a list of vehicles, drivers, and onboard service personnel is attached) on standby and ready to be deployed as needed throughout the Tet holiday period.
Specifically, Bac Giang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company commits to not increasing ticket prices but to adhering to the prices declared and registered with the Department of Finance, the Department of Transport of Bac Giang province, and the People's Committee of Bac Giang city.
