In episode 43 of "Our Family Suddenly Happy," Phuong (Kieu Anh) is moved when she rereads the diary entries Cong (Quang Su) wrote for their child. She choked up at the thought of her husband's excitement and the anticipation of their soon-to-be-born child.

Phuong was moved when she read Cong's diary entries for their child in episode 43 of "Our Family's Unexpected Joy".

In another development, Cong and Thanh (Doan Quoc Dam) attend Danh's (Thanh Son) new housewarming party. Thanh wishes that someday each of them will have their own house so they can attend each other's housewarming parties. Cong argues that he will live with his parents until he's old and therefore won't have a new house. The two brothers agree that Cong, as the eldest son, living with his parents is right, but he should also renovate his house to make it more spacious and beautiful.

The two brothers were worried that Danh's mother-in-law would find out.

Thanh encouraged Danh to try and buy a house so his wife wouldn't laugh at him. Hearing this, Danh's spirits sank, and he reflected on his own inadequacy. Cong asked his younger brother, "So what are you going to do now? You can't stay like this forever." "I'll just stay here for a month or two until my mother-in-law comes back, then we'll figure things out," Danh replied.
