On the evening of May 2nd, PVF-CAND Club drew 0-0 with Hong Linh Ha Tinh in the 21st round of the V-League 2025-2026.
The hard-fought draw at home gave coach Tran Tien Dai's team 14 points. This result was just enough for PVF-CAND to move up to 13th place and pushSHB Da Nang (13 points) to the bottom of the table.
The match at PVF Stadium was truly a "life or death" game for the home team amidst the fierce relegation battle. Therefore, they approached the game with extreme caution.
The biggest highlight of the first half was striker Anh Quân of PVF-CAND's breakaway in the 25th minute, however, his shot was unable to beat goalkeeper Thanh Tùng.
In the second half, PVF-CAND pushed forward in search of a goal, but this left many gaps in their defense.
In the 53rd minute, the home team nearly paid the price after a careless save by goalkeeper Phi Minh Long. Nguyen Van Hiep of Ha Tinh seized the opportunity to shoot, but defender Nguyen Bao Long managed to retreat and clear the ball right on the goal line to avert the danger.
PVF-CAND then had several counter-attacks from striker Eid Mahmoud. However, goalkeeper Nguyen Thanh Tung remained focused and kept a clean sheet for the visiting team.
On the Hong Linh Ha Tinh side, despite the return of captain Trong Hoang to strengthen the midfield, the Central Vietnam representative continues its poor attacking performance.
After 21 matches, they remain the lowest-scoring team in the league with only 12 goals. However, the point gained puts them temporarily in 9th place and maintains a relatively safe distance from the relegation zone.
