District 1 uses a virtual assistant to help citizens resolve administrative procedures.

On the afternoon of September 10th, the People's Committee of District 1 and the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City held a signing ceremony for a cooperation plan to implement digital transformation tasks for the period 2024-2025.

The Department of Information and Communications and the People's Committee of District 1 signed a cooperation agreement.

Accordingly, the two sides will cooperate on the following contents: implementing a pilot model for electronic licensing; implementing a pilot model for smart kiosks and virtual assistants; building a District 1 data warehouse based on the Ho Chi Minh City map; implementing solutions to ensure network information security; and implementing a set of indicators to evaluate digital transformation at the ward level.

Both sides will implement a unified digitalization process and issue electronic licenses on the platform of Ho Chi Minh City's administrative procedure information system; and will reuse data, eliminating the need for citizens to resubmit digitized documents stored in Ho Chi Minh City's citizen data warehouse.

Simultaneously, a pilot program is being implemented for smart kiosks and virtual assistant applications to guide and assist citizens in resolving administrative procedures at the one-stop service center; a virtual assistant is also being piloted to serve civil servants in District 1.

The project, titled "Building a District 1 Data Warehouse on the Ho Chi Minh City Map Platform," will involve deploying an integrated and interconnected District 1 data warehouse on the Ho Chi Minh City map platform; and implementing an information exploitation system to serve socio-economic development in District 1.

The Department of Information and Communications also supported the District 1 People's Committee in preparing proposals for digital transformation levels and fully implementing protection plans according to the proposed levels for the district's information systems. The two sides also developed and implemented a set of indicators for evaluating digital transformation at the ward level; and implemented a system and process for assessing the level of digital transformation for wards in District 1.

The joint plan between the two sides aims to concretize and effectively implement the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee's plan for the "Digital Transformation of Ho Chi Minh City" program and the "Building Ho Chi Minh City into a Smart City" project in 2024. It also aims to gradually create open data for all operational activities, utilize digital data for the management and administration of the District People's Committee, and contribute to maintaining and improving the digital transformation index of District 1.

At the same time, strengthen coordination between the Department of Information and Communications and the People's Committee of District 1 in state management of digital transformation, ensuring connection and synchronization between digital programs and platforms implemented by Ho Chi Minh City in the locality.
