Implementing the "Military-Civilian Road" model, officers and soldiers from the following units: Tay Tuu Ward Military Command; Battalion 3 (Brigade 144, General Staff); Company 66 (Brigade 86, Chemical Corps); Company 16 (Regiment 218, Division 361, Air Defense-Air Force) were determined to change the appearance of this "black spot." The soldiers and militia did not hesitate to wade into the thick black mud, working alongside the people to clear mud, pull weeds, and collect garbage...
People waded into the river to lift the waste, while those on the bank quickly caught it, coordinating with urban sanitation workers to load it into trucks for transport to the waste collection point.

Having just finished hauling a large pile of mud and debris ashore, soldier Le Trung Kien (Battalion 3, Brigade 144) smiled brightly despite his face being drenched in sweat. When I asked him about it, Kien shared: “Helping the people and the local community is a responsibility, but also an expression of our affection as soldiers. Every time we participate in activities like this, my comrades and I feel very happy.”
Mrs. Phan Thi Thu, from Hamlet 1, Tay Tuu Ward, despite being 84 years old, enthusiastically rolled up her sleeves and joined her fellow villagers in cleaning up around Dam Temple. "The soldiers are helping so enthusiastically, so the locals have to participate too," Mrs. Thu said happily.
When the sun rose high, the Pheo River had been cleared, and the areas on both banks and the surrounding streets became bright and clean; the lively laughter and conversations between the soldiers and the local people created a beautiful, peaceful, and joyful scene.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Dao Xuan Thanh, Commander of the Tay Tuu Ward Military Command, the "Military-Civilian Road" is a component of the "Military-Civilian Solidarity for Ward Development" program, implemented by the Tay Tuu Ward People's Mobilization Block in coordination with the Ward Military Command and military units stationed in the area. This is a new and creative approach in people mobilization work, contributing to strengthening military-civilian solidarity and jointly addressing urgent local issues. The trust and support of the people and the Party Committee and government are crucial factors in helping military units, especially the Ward Military Command, successfully complete their tasks.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Hao, Head of the Party Building Committee of Tay Tuu Ward Party Committee, shared: "The locality highly welcomes and thanks the soldiers for their assistance. The activities of the 'Military and People United in Developing the Ward' program are regularly implemented, aiming to directly serve the lives of the people, such as: renovating and repairing schools, supporting students in difficult circumstances; building 'bright, green, and clean' roads and alleys; visiting and caring for policy beneficiary families and military families... Through these activities, we contribute to the development of the locality and, more importantly, strengthen the solidarity between the military and the people, educate on traditions, spread patriotism, and cultivate national pride."
