To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, on the morning of December 14th, at Ba Dinh Square ( Hanoi ), the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense organized a ceremony to report on achievements and pay respects at the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, the Army was awarded the Ho Chi Minh Order.
