Quang Binh prepares accommodation for Quang Tri officials during the merger process.

Following the merger of Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces, with the administrative center located in Quang Binh province, the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee is preparing accommodation for officials from Quang Tri.

On April 14th, the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee announced that it is preparing accommodation for officials from Quang Tri province who will be coming to work after the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units.

Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW of the 11th Conference of the Central Committee of the 13th Party Congress approved the proposed list of 34 provincial-level administrative units, including the merger of Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces, under the name Quang Tri province, with the administrative center located in the current Quang Binh province.

The former headquarters of the Department of Foreign Affairs is being considered for use as housing for Quang Tri officials.

Upon receiving the information, the Quang Binh Department of Finance immediately launched a review and survey of vacant offices or centers and school facilities that were not being used to their full capacity. Through this process, they identified several locations such as the Economic Vocational School, the former headquarters of the Department of Foreign Affairs, and some offices of central government units located in the area that had been unused for a long time.

The local authorities have initially selected and documented the current state of these buildings to report to higher levels for consideration. Afterward, they will be repurposed as official residences for civil servants and employees of agencies and units relocating from Quang Tri province to work there following the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units.

Any buildings with unsuitable or dilapidated structures will be renovated and repaired to be suitable for official residences.

In addition, Quang Binh province also emphasized the importance of a positive work ethic and attitude, welcoming and creating the best possible conditions for officials from the neighboring province, so that the merger process would proceed smoothly, quickly, and effectively.
