Quang Binh prepares accommodation for Quang Tri officials during the merger process

On April 14, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province said that it is preparing accommodation for officials from Quang Tri to work after the reorganization of provincial administrative units.

Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW of the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee decided on a tentative list of 34 provincial-level administrative units, including merging Quang Binh province and Quang Tri province, named Quang Tri province, with the administrative center located in the current Quang Binh province.

The former headquarters of the Department of Foreign Affairs is being considered to serve as accommodation for Quang Tri officials.

As soon as the information was received, the Quang Binh Department of Finance conducted a review and survey of vacant headquarters, or centers and school facilities that were not used at full capacity; thereby, identifying a number of locations such as the College of Economics, the old headquarters of the Department of Foreign Affairs and a number of headquarters of central units located in the area but not used for a long time.

The locality has initially selected and recorded images of the current status of these headquarters to report to the relevant authorities for consideration. After that, the purpose of use will be changed to public housing to serve civil servants and public employees of agencies and units from Quang Tri to work after the arrangement of provincial administrative units.

Any headquarters with inappropriate or degraded structures will be renovated and repaired to be suitable for public housing.

Besides, Quang Binh also thoroughly grasped the awareness, working attitude, reception, and created the best conditions for the officials of the neighboring province, so that the unification work could take place smoothly, quickly, and effectively.
