On the morning of July 7, Quang Nam issued an announcement confirming that there was no name change or headquarters relocation as rumored on social media in recent days.
"The information about Quang Nam changing its name or moving its headquarters to the North or South is completely untrue. The team is still operating normally, focusing on training to prepare for the new season, and there are no plans to change its name or move its headquarters," the Quang Nam team's homepage announced.
The rumor originated from the fact that the official Fanpage of Quang Nam suddenly became inaccessible on July 6. Some information on social networks then spread, claiming that the Quang Nam football team would change its name and move its headquarters to Ho Chi Minh City.
Currently, Quang Nam has gathered again to prepare for the 2025/26 pre-season friendly tournament. In the initial training phase, assistant Cao Sy Cuong will temporarily take charge of the team's training sessions, while head coach Van Sy Son is attending a Pro Coach training course in Japan. It is expected that the Nghe An coach will return to work after completing the course at the end of July.
