On July 6, the leader of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province said that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued Decision No. 2208/QD-BVHTTDL announcing the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage for My Thien pottery, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province.

According to this decision, My Thien pottery is classified as a “Traditional Craft” and officially becomes part of the national intangible cultural heritage. This is a worthy recognition for a craft village with a history of hundreds of years, closely associated with the cultural, spiritual and livelihood life of many generations of local people.

My Thien pottery is famous for its household ceramic products, worship ceramics and traditional building materials, which are completely handcrafted and fired in wood kilns. According to artisans, to create durable and beautiful products, the craftsman must understand the characteristics of clay, shaping techniques, firing temperature and ceramic glaze treatment process.
