Hoi An ancient town, in the former Quang Nam province (now part of Da Nang city), has just been honored by the prestigious American travel magazine Travel + Leisure in the “World’s Best Awards” in 2025, with the 6th position in the list of the top 25 world-class cities.
The magazine praised Hoi An for its unique scenery, intricate canal system and distinctive architecture that reflects the fusion of local identity with regional cultures such as Japan and China.
The bright yellow streets, ancient tiled roofs and shimmering lanterns have turned Hoi An into a vivid picture, attracting young people around the world when "hunting" for unique check-in corners imbued with tradition.

Once a bustling trading port, Hoi An was a place of cultural exchange, where Vietnamese merchant ships met with Japanese, Chinese and European merchants and created a symphony of architecture, customs and lifestyle. These traces are still present today in the stone-paved walkways, wooden roofs, the Japanese Covered Bridge, and ancient assembly halls.
In 1999, Hoi An was recognized by the United Nations Educational , Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a World Cultural Heritage, honoring its unique historical, cultural and architectural values. Through time and war, this place still retains its original spirit, partly thanks to the joint efforts of the local people and government to preserve it.
Young people and international tourists especially love Hoi An because this place combines both the quiet classic features and modern vitality. The scenery of "thousands of virtual living corners" from nostalgic to romantic makes anyone want to stop and check-in.
During the day, visitors can stroll around the old town and enjoy local specialties such as Cao Lau, Quang noodles or local bread. At night, the whole neighborhood is lit up by thousands of lanterns, while the banks of the Thu Bon River are filled with shimmering lights, creating a peaceful and romantic atmosphere.
More than just a destination, Hoi An is also an experience – where the past and present intersect, where every step holds beautiful memories. For international tourists as well as young Vietnamese, Hoi An is not only a check-in place, but also a journey to discover the unique culture, history and art of living for thousands of years.
