According to information from the Ministry of Health , the Covid-19 epidemic has recently increased in several countries in the region such as China, Thailand, and Singapore. In Vietnam, the number of Covid-19 cases is also showing an upward trend. In response to these new developments, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province issued document No. 1579/UBND-VHXH dated May 22, 2025, on proactively implementing measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.
Due to the summer vacation period, the increased demand for travel and tourism has heightened the risk of disease transmission. Following the provincial directive, the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued document No. 1414/SVHTTDL-QLLT, requesting tourist areas and attractions, accommodation and food service establishments, travel agencies, and related units to implement disease prevention and control measures to ensure the health and safety of the people and tourists. This includes emphasizing the responsibility and proactive approach of units and tourist areas in closely monitoring the disease situation and implementing appropriate COVID-19 prevention measures.

Staff at Muong Thanh Luxury Ha Long Centre Hotel are regularly updated on the evolving Covid-19 pandemic situation.
One of the top priorities for the tourism industry is to strengthen communication efforts, recommending the implementation of personal preventive measures in tourism service establishments and destinations, while also advising tourists to wear masks on public transport and in public places; to wash hands frequently with clean water, soap, or disinfectant; and to immediately go to the nearest medical facility for examination, monitoring, and timely treatment if they experience symptoms such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing.
Many accommodation establishments have proactively communicated disease prevention measures to their staff and guests. As early as mid-May, the Muong Thanh Luxury Ha Long Centre hotel placed informational signs on COVID-19 prevention in the lobby and public areas for easy access by guests. The hotel also regularly updated staff on the disease situation in the country and the region to enable proactive prevention and control measures.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Head of the Business Reception Department of the hotel, said: "At all times, the safety and health of guests are always the hotel's top priority. Especially during this period, the hotel focuses on disseminating information and guiding staff on the disease situation and related prevention measures to ensure the health of its employees. This creates a safe working environment and also provides customers with a safe experience."

Disinfection of spaces on cruise ships used by tourists visiting and staying in the bay is carried out regularly.
As one of the most popular seaside travel experiences chosen by many tourists during the summer, many cruise ships in Ha Long Bay are also activating disease control and prevention procedures as recommended by the Ministry of Health and local authorities. Disinfection of all spaces on the cruise ships is maintained regularly. Staff and crew members undergo health checks and strictly adhere to personal hygiene regulations. Mr. Do Van Phong, Director of Saquila Yacht, said: "To boost immunity in the unique working environment, in March, 100% of the staff working on the cruise ships received influenza A vaccinations. This is one of the unit's efforts to limit the risk of infection and ensure public health."
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also requested that tourist areas and attractions, accommodation and food service establishments, travel agencies, and related units proactively coordinate with the health sector and local authorities in monitoring the epidemic, creating a safe tourism environment for visitors, and affirming the brand of Quang Ninh tourism as a "Safe - Friendly - Attractive" destination.
