Based on the opinions of competent authorities, the actual preparation situation, and the proposals of the Government and the National Assembly's agencies, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly proposes that the National Assembly allow amendments and additions to some contents in the program of the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly.
Specifically, the timeframe for the National Assembly to consider and decide on these two issues will be adjusted to allow relevant agencies to prepare and promptly organize their implementation.
Firstly, there is the National Assembly's Resolution amending and supplementing several articles of the 2013 Constitution (the National Assembly discussed it in the plenary session on June 13th and voted to approve it on June 16th, along with the vote to approve the draft Law on Organization of Local Government (amended); live television and radio broadcasts were arranged when the National Assembly voted to approve these two items).
Secondly, the National Assembly's Resolution on the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units in 2025 (the National Assembly will hear the presentation of the draft, the verification report, and discuss it in groups on the morning of June 11th; discuss it in the plenary session and vote to approve it on June 12th).
At the same time, three additional items were submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and decision, including: a National Assembly Resolution on the International Finance Center in Vietnam; a National Assembly Resolution on the mechanism for handling difficulties and obstacles arising from legal regulations; and organizational and personnel matters within its authority.
The new agenda has removed the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting some specific and special mechanisms and policies for investment and development of the railway system from the session's program; and adjusted the time for the National Assembly to consider and approve the draft Railway Law (amended) from being submitted to the National Assembly for comments at the 9th session and approved at the 10th session to being considered and approved at the 9th session to meet practical requirements (the National Assembly voted to approve it on June 27).
