On May 14th, Mr. Tran Van Lau, Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, visited and surveyed Ba Dong beach in Truong Long Hoa ward (formerly Tra Vinh province).
Having seen firsthand the long sandy beach bathed in sunlight, the vast casuarina forest, and the wind turbine towers on the sea not far away, Mr. Lau believes that Ba Dong beach has enormous tourism potential.
"With such favorable advantages, it would be a great pity not to exploit them. We must quickly invest to awaken the potential of this beach," Mr. Lau said.
Mr. Lau requested that the relevant provincial departments immediately begin developing a planning project. Based on this, investments will be made in a systematic manner.
"For now, the priority is to invest in necessary facilities to attract tourists. Once there are many visitors, it will be easier to attract investors," Mr. Lau analyzed.
The head of Vinh Long province suggested that forests must be preserved at all costs in the planning process.
"We must leverage the forest to develop tourism. In addition to the existing casuarina forest, we need to plant more, creating a green area with attractive service activities, transforming Ba Dong beach into an appealing destination," Mr. Lau requested.
The Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee requested that local authorities and relevant agencies pay attention to environmental sanitation and regularly trim the branches of the casuarina trees along the coast.
"For a tourist destination to retain visitors, many factors are needed. Ba Dong beach is pristine and picturesque; if we add a few touches to make it greener, cleaner, and more beautiful, it will certainly attract more visitors," Mr. Lau suggested.
Ba Dong Beach is a famous scenic spot located in Truong Long Hoa ward, Vinh Long province, about 55 km from the former center of Tra Vinh city. It is a rare tourist destination in the Mekong Delta that boasts a pristine, approximately 10km long sandy beach lined with cool casuarina trees.
The name Ba Dong (Three Sand Dunes) originates from an interesting natural phenomenon. Whenever the tide rises and falls, three natural sand dunes (two small and one large) appear on the beach, creating a unique and striking sight.

Ba Dong beach boasts pristine natural beauty, a combination of fine sand and lush green casuarina forests creating a peaceful atmosphere, completely different from other muddy beaches in the area.
Here, visitors can easily admire and take photos of the giant wind turbine towers located right by the sea, creating an extremely modern and romantic scene.
