The Vinh Long Provincial Police, in coordination with other relevant agencies, recently received three citizens who were deported from the United States at Noi Bai International Airport and brought them back to their locality as per regulations.
These individuals, aged between 36 and 60, were discovered by US authorities to have entered the country illegally, resided unlawfully, or committed violations of US law.
Upon receiving the citizen, the Vinh Long Provincial Police directed its operational units to coordinate with local authorities to verify the citizen's identity, complete legal procedures, and hand them over to their family for management; they also assisted in issuing Citizen Identity Cards, creating conditions for the citizen to quickly stabilize their life.

According to the Vinh Long Provincial Police, from the beginning of 2026 to the present, the province has received 44 Vietnamese citizens who were repatriated or deported by other countries. The majority were due to violations of the laws of the host country, illegal residence or work, illegal border crossing, or being lured into illegal emigration through illegal labor brokerage rings.
This also includes participating in illegal labor abroad, or being scammed by labor brokers without legal authorization. Furthermore, there are cases where women marry foreigners without ensuring proper legal procedures or live in violation of the laws of the host country.
Given this situation, authorities advise citizens who wish to go abroad for work, study, or marriage to proactively research and strictly comply with Vietnamese law as well as the laws of the host country. They should absolutely not be swayed by illegal brokers and should not attempt to leave the country through illegal channels.
