Understanding the plight of couples struggling with infertility, on the morning of April 15th, Vietnam Family Magazine, in collaboration with the Hanoi Center for Infertility and Sexual Medicine (Hanoi General Hospital), held a ceremony to announce and launch the Hope Fund.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Family Magazine, Ho Minh Chien, shared: “The Hope Fund is not only an initiative to support healthcare , but also a humanitarian act, demonstrating deep concern for a disadvantaged segment of society – those who silently seek the happiness of parenthood.”
According to statistics from the World Health Organization, Vietnam is one of the countries with the highest infertility rates in the world. 50% of infertility cases occur in the under-30 age group. This is not only a health challenge but also a worrying demographic issue as birth rates have been declining over the years.
Against this backdrop, in-vitro fertilization (IVF) has become a popular and effective treatment for infertility. However, the high cost of treatment, especially for cases requiring multiple cycles, remains a major barrier, causing many couples to temporarily put their dream of becoming parents on hold.

In support of infertile couples, the Fund hopes to implement practical activities each month: sponsoring 100% of the cost of IVF treatment for economically disadvantaged families; and offering financial assistance packages that reduce treatment costs by up to 30%.
In addition, families also receive many benefits for related testing and specialist examination packages. Furthermore, the fund also provides travel expense support for those living far away.
"There is no greater happiness for parents than having healthy children, or a family filled with laughter and joy. The Hope Fund was established to help disadvantaged couples access the best and most modern treatment techniques, so that they can welcome their beloved children into their families in the shortest possible time," added Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Director of the Hanoi Center for Infertility and Sexual Medicine.
