Quynh Phu: Inauguration, handing over houses of gratitude to poor households

Continuing to respond to the humanitarian month of 2023, on the morning of June 3, the Red Cross Society of Quynh Phu district inaugurated and handed over the house of gratitude to the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nhon, a poor household in Dong Cu village, Dong commune. Hai (Quynh Phu).

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nhon's family has a particularly difficult situation. This year, the 82-year-old woman lives with her son suffering from mental illness in a cramped house of about 15m² that has deteriorated, dilapidated, has no sanitation facilities, lacks living conditions… Realizing the difficult situation of Ms. Nhon's family, through a field survey, the Red Cross Society of Dong Hai commune proposed the Red Cross Society of Quynh Phu district and the provincial Red Cross to mobilize funds to build a new house for her.
Leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society gave gifts to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nhon's family.
The house was started construction from March 3 until now has been completed with a total area of 2023m²; flat roof house with kitchen, toilet works... Total construction cost is 44 million VND, of which all levels, branches, organizations, units and individuals support 245 million VND with the same working day, number of people. The rest of the money is raised by the family.
