Hue City Logistics Association Launched

The Hue City Logistics Association is a forum for exchange, cooperation, and enhancing competitiveness, aiming to become a reputable connecting center for the logistics community in Central Vietnam.

The Hue City Logistics Association recently successfully held its first founding congress for the 2025-2030 term.

Hue possesses many distinct advantages for logistics development: Located on the North-South transportation axis, it is a crucial connecting point of the East-West Economic Corridor, with the Chan May deep-water seaport, Phu Bai international airport, the North-South expressway, the Trans-Vietnam railway, and an increasingly完善 inter-regional transportation system. In particular, the Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone has had its planning adjusted until 2045, creating an important foundation for the large-scale development of seaports, logistics, industry, and services.

In Hue City's socio-economic development strategy for the coming period, logistics is identified as a key sector, playing a role in connecting economic sectors, enhancing competitiveness, and expanding the city's development space in the Central region.

The Hue City Logistics Association was established with the aim of becoming a reputable connecting center for the logistics community in Central Vietnam, contributing to making Hue a new bright spot on the Vietnamese logistics map, and serving as a bridge between businesses, managers, academics, and society. It is also a forum for exchange, cooperation, enhancing competitiveness, and creating new value for the logistics industry in Hue.

The Association aims to build a strong organization, gradually affirm its role in the local logistics ecosystem, develop a united, professional, and creative member community, and strive to reach a minimum of 120 members by 2030…

The association also aims to become a leading organization in proposing policies, connecting partners, and promoting the development of green logistics.

According to Phan Hung Son, Deputy Director of the Hue City Department of Industry and Trade, the city has clearly defined its orientation for developing green logistics, linked to the goals of sustainable growth, emission reduction, technology application, and digital transformation. Furthermore, in the context of the central government researching the free trade zone model, Hue has all the necessary conditions to gradually participate in and anticipate this trend.

"The establishment of the City Logistics Association is very timely and necessary, demonstrating the proactive approach of the business community and creating an official representative organization to connect businesses with other businesses, businesses with the government, and with associations and partners both domestically and internationally," Mr. Son emphasized.
