In early December, the coast of Dong Ninh Hoa ward was filled with garbage, stretching along the beach, piled up in piles, from tree branches, nylon bags, plastic bottles to foam buoys...

From the Dong Hai embankment heading south, many sections of the coastline are covered in long-accumulated garbage, deep in the sand. The stench makes locals and tourists wary of swimming in the sea.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich from Ho Chi Minh City returned to her hometown to visit relatives and was surprised to see the beach covered in trash. She regretfully said: "If there was no trash, this would be a very worth-visiting destination."
Local resident Tran Tuan said large patches of offshore trash continuously drift ashore when the tide rises. This situation repeats itself. Despite regular collection by urban environmental forces and residents, the amount of trash continues to pile up.

More than 4km south of Dong Hai beach, Ninh Thuy beach also has garbage scattered along the shore.
Worryingly, untreated domestic wastewater from many households flows through storm drains and common alleys, directly into the sea.
Garbage and dirty water make the beach unkempt, the water near the shore turbid and murky, greatly affecting the environment and aesthetics.

The black, foul-smelling wastewater flows straight into the sea, tearing the sand.
Many locals and tourists are concerned and hope that authorities will soon find a solution to handle the amount of garbage and the waste disposal system, returning the beach to a clean and beautiful state, avoiding environmental pollution and affecting public health.

Speaking to reporters, the leader of the People's Committee of Dong Ninh Hoa ward said that the local government has repeatedly cleaned up along the beach, but the amount of garbage washed up by the waves is too large and difficult to control thoroughly.
On weekends, the ward continues to mobilize forces and coordinate with people to collect garbage.
The problem of water pipes and discharge ditches into the sea has existed for many years. The Ward People's Committee has directed inspection and handling.
