- On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2026), youth unions in schools from junior high to high school and continuing education centers throughout the province proactively organized introductory classes for eligible students. This helped students identify goals to strive for in conjunction with their daily studies and training, fostering a proper motivation for joining the Union and creating a pool of potential new members.
In implementing the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee's plan for Youth Month 2026 on strengthening membership development, the organization of orientation classes for prospective members has been carried out synchronously and uniformly by school youth unions. Based on the guidance of the higher-level youth union, school youth unions have concretized this with appropriate plans, linking the training and recruitment of new members with the task of educating students.

At Dinh Lap High School, on March 10, 2026, the school's Youth Union organized an introductory course on the Youth Union for nearly 165 outstanding students. The content was designed to be concise and focused, concentrating on the traditions of the Youth Union, the rights and obligations of its members, and linking it to specific requirements in studying, training, and participating in activities.
According to Mr. Le Van Thang, Secretary of the Youth Union at Dinh Lap High School: After the training course, the outstanding young students have become more proactive in their studies, actively participating in class and school activities; adherence to regulations, maintaining order and hygiene have been consistently upheld. Some students have been assigned tasks in class activities, gradually asserting their role in the group. These changes show that the training goes beyond mere awareness and is directly linked to concrete training, contributing to improving the quality of Youth Union members right from the start.
Through introductory classes for the Youth Union, students gradually raise their awareness and actively participate in activities. For example, on March 21st, at Loc Binh Secondary School, 95 outstanding students were admitted to the Youth Union after completing the class. The admission was based on their training results. Dam Khanh Vy, a student in class 9A5, shared: "After participating in the Youth Union introductory class, I have a clearer understanding of my academic goals and responsibilities in school activities. From then on, I became more proactive in my studies and participation in activities, considering it a way to train and strive before joining the Youth Union."
According to statistics, in March of this year, over 4,400 outstanding young people in the province participated in the Youth Union orientation classes at schools and were admitted to the Union. The organization of these classes is linked to the work of identifying, nurturing, and admitting new members. Schools also monitor and evaluate students' progress based on specific criteria such as academic results, adherence to regulations, participation in activities, and responsibility to the group, as a basis for selecting new members.
Ms. Vy Thi Yen Quynh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, said: The organization of introductory classes for Youth Union members in schools is directed uniformly in terms of content and method, focusing on core issues related to practical situations. The training process is accompanied by monitoring and evaluation to select students who meet the criteria, ensuring that the development of Youth Union members is carried out during the educational process, linked to learning, training, and participation in activities.
The results from organizing orientation classes for the Youth Union show that when training is implemented systematically and closely follows the learning and training process, the quality of Youth Union members is improved. This not only contributes to building a strong Youth Union organization from the grassroots level but also forms a generation of young people with strong character and responsibility, meeting the requirements of the tasks in the new situation.
