Recognizing the need to completely eliminate dust and dirt from living spaces, Eufy recently developed a 3-in-1 smart robot vacuum cleaner with multiple features, creating a sensation in the market. But does the product's quality meet consumer expectations?

Navigate narrow spaces with a 3-in-1 design.
Essentially, the Eufy E20 is a smart robot vacuum cleaner that's just as good as products from other well-known brands. The robot has a round shape with a diameter of 34cm and a height of 14cm, and its automatic charging station measures 25.5 x 15 x 39cm. The Eufy E20 supports integration with popular smart home systems such as Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartHings, and Apple HomeKit.
With its 3-in-1 design – acting as a self-emptying robot vacuum, a stick vacuum, and a handheld vacuum – the Eufy E20 can vacuum sofas, clean stairs, furniture, or even vacuum cars...
The product was launched by Anker at CES 2025 and won the "Best of Innovation in Home Appliances" award.
“I immediately ordered the Eufy E20 to experience it when I visited CES because of its uniqueness. Every robot vacuum developer tries to make their products smarter, but no one has done what Eufy has done – it's simple yet very useful.” – Expert Le Minh Quan, administrator of the Techrum technology forum, said.
David Cheng, a home robotics research expert at TechReview, commented: "The Eufy E20 offers a fresh approach, integrating multiple functions into a single device, optimizing space and cost for users."
Versatile and affordable – is that attractive enough?
The most valuable feature of the Eufy E20 is its detachable vacuum attachment, which can be attached to other accessories and used as a regular vacuum cleaner. Anker has patented their 3-in-1 design under the name FlexiONE™. The product comes with a roller push handle to transform it into a floor vacuum and a brush head for handheld use.
Like many robotic vacuum cleaners, Eufy uses lidar sensors and laser navigation to avoid obstacles. To control its operation, users install the Eufy Clean app on their Android or iOS smartphone. On first use, it will move throughout the entire available space to create a cleaning map, which can also be easily edited within the app.

Tech expert Alistair Charlton commented on the Cyber Shark review site: “Although it's only a Gen 3 robot, the Laser Line on the Eufy series is much faster and more accurate than the infrared sensors used on most Gen 3 robots. Furthermore, this product also has some features of Gen 5 robots, most notably the self-emptying dustbin and fast mapping capabilities.”
In handheld mode, Eufy delivers suction power up to 30,000 Pa, an extremely high power compared to cordless vacuum cleaners. Expert Le Minh Quan commented, "This power level is quite rare. High-end handheld vacuum cleaners in the same price range usually only offer a maximum suction power of 20,000 Pa."
After its debut at CES in January 2025, Anker quickly released this product to the market starting February 1, 2025. If purchasing a new product through online retailers like Amazon, users will have to pay $399 (equivalent to over 10 million VND), or they can buy it directly from an official importer for 14 million VND.
On the market, some manufacturers sell combo products that include both a robot vacuum and a handheld vacuum cleaner; however, these are two separate components with significantly higher prices, for example, the Ecovacs Deebot T30S Combo costs around 30.6 million VND or the Yeedi C12 Combo costs 18 million VND.

After using Eufy for almost a month, Ms. Tran Thi Thao Ly ( Hanoi ) shared: “This robot is quite convenient. Normally, it moves around the house to clean on its own. When needed, I detach it to vacuum the sofa, bed, or stairs, then reattach it so the machine automatically emptys the bin. It's like buying one and getting two functions, quite economical.”
However, according to tech experts, the Eufy E20 still has some unaddressed shortcomings. Tech expert Alistair Charlton commented: “The biggest drawback of the Eufy E20 is the lack of a mopping mode. Hopefully, Anker will soon release an upgraded version with this function at a higher price. For now, this robot is well worth the $400 price tag.”
Due to its relatively small overall size, the Eufy E20's storage capacity is also limited. The E20 only offers a 3.5-liter storage compartment in the charging station and just 0.6 liters in the device itself.
According to tech experts, the navigation system of this product is not truly intelligent. Compared to high-end models like Roborock or Dreame, the E20 uses a conventional Lidar sensor, which may struggle with navigation in complex spaces. Furthermore, the E20 lacks a mopping function. Therefore, if users want to mop wet hard floors, they will have to do it manually.
Competing against worthy rivals.
Currently, there are many robot vacuum cleaner models on the market that are considered worthy competitors to the Eufy E20.
Eufy E20 and Roborock Q7 Max+: In terms of vacuuming performance, Roborock's robot is quite similar to Eufy's. The renowned Roborock brand also equips its robot vacuums with the latest PreciSense LiDAR sensor (Gen3).
In the Max+ upgrade, Roborock's robot is equipped with a self-cleaning charging station. The company uses a water filtration system to trap dust and dirt as air passes through. Therefore, the Max+ requires a water change each time it returns to the charging station, while Eufy's filtration technology eliminates the need for this additional step.
In terms of suction power, the Q7 Max+ only operates at a maximum of 4,200 Pa, while the Eufy E20 is twice as powerful, thus increasing cleaning efficiency.
Both models clean a similar floor area, approximately 150m2. However, Eufy has an advantage as it only needs 2.5 hours to charge, while the Q7 Max+ requires 6 hours to fully recharge.
Eufy E20 and Dreame L10s Ultra: The L10s Ultra has an automatic mopping function, which the Eufy E20 lacks, but Eufy has the advantage of flexible mode switching.
Despite having a suction power of only 5,300 Pa, the Dreame L10s Ultra is in no way inferior to the Eufy E20 because, thanks to its 360-degree rotating mop and 6.7 Newton pressure, the L10s Ultra still ensures it meets the cleaning needs of users.
Essentially, due to the lack of mopping functionality, Eufy is largely at a disadvantage when compared to any other robot vacuum cleaner with mopping capabilities.
Eufy E20 and Dyson V8: The Dyson V8 has a strong suction power of up to 28,000 Pa, a figure quite similar to Eufy. Dyson has already established itself as a leader in vacuum and cleaning equipment. The Dyson V8 also has the ability to transform from a push-type to a versatile handheld vacuum cleaner.
As a specialized device, the Dyson V8 has a professional and much more robust design compared to the Eufy. Additionally, its 0.56-liter dust container is more convenient than the Eufy's 0.35-liter dust container. However, without human intervention, the Dyson V8 cannot automatically clean floors.
As can be seen, the Eufy E20 is a worthwhile option for customers who want a versatile cleaning device that saves space and money. However, this product may not be suitable for those who need a specialized device, such as a high-end AI-powered robot vacuum or a powerful handheld vacuum cleaner. Therefore, consumers should still consider carefully before deciding to buy.
