The festival takes place over two days (March 28-29), comprising both ceremonial and festive parts, and is meticulously organized, incorporating traditional rituals and unique cultural activities of the locality.

Within the framework of the program, the ceremonial part was held solemnly in accordance with traditional customs. The rituals of offering incense and making sacrifices were performed meticulously, expressing deep respect and gratitude to the ancestors who contributed to the development, construction, and protection of the Bac Ha region.

The highlight is the procession with the participation of traditional groups: lion dance, traditional music ensemble, dragon palanquin, flag bearers… creating a sacred atmosphere and vividly recreating the cultural and religious space of the local ethnic communities.

The ceremonial offerings from agencies, units, businesses, and villages were organized simultaneously, demonstrating a shared commitment to their roots.

The festival was lively with many cultural and sporting activities and folk games such as performing arts, tug-of-war, stick pushing, blindfolded duck catching, cockfighting, etc., attracting enthusiastic participation from the people and tourists. This was not only an opportunity for fun and entertainment but also contributed to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identity of the ethnic minorities in the highlands.

The festival further affirms the role of the Bac Ha temple complex as an important spiritual landmark, and also as a unique cultural tourism product, contributing to promoting the image of the "white plateau" of Bac Ha and boosting local socio -economic development.

The Bac Ha Temple Festival in 2026 will not only meet the religious needs of the people but also serve as a community cultural space where traditional values are preserved, passed on, and disseminated in modern life.
