According to information from the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, on September 15th, flood levels on the Cau River had dropped below alarm level 3, while the Thai Binh River had dropped below alarm level 2.

Therefore, the Bac Ninh Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue issued a directive to withdraw the Level 3 flood warnings on the Cau River and the Level 2 flood warnings on the Thai Binh River.

However, the Command Board still requested relevant departments and units, as well as local command boards in Tien Du, Yen Phong, Que Vo, and Bac Ninh, to continue deploying personnel to patrol and guard the dikes in order to promptly handle any incidents, especially those related to the structures along the left and right banks of the Duong River.

Also on September 15th, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, sent a letter of thanks to the armed forces, agencies, businesses, and people for their positive contributions to the prevention and mitigation of the consequences of Typhoon No. 3.

In the letter, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized: "Typhoon No. 3 is not only the strongest typhoon in the East Sea in the past 30 years, but also the typhoon with record wind speeds from the beginning of 2024 to date. The typhoon has caused serious damage to many northern provinces, with Bac Ninh being one of the localities most directly and severely affected."

The letter also stated: "Thanks to the effective implementation of the '4 on-the-spot' principle, many critical situations have been promptly addressed, such as: Cracks on the left and right banks of the Ngu Huyen Khe River in Yen Phong and Tien Du districts; participation in handling the incident of the right bank breach of the Ngu Huyen Khe River in Duc Tu commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi ."

In addition, there were incidents of water overflowing the Cau River dike, and a leak in the discharge tank of the Van Thai pumping station in Luong Tai district... To date, there have been no casualties in the province, and no major incidents affecting infrastructure such as transportation, dikes, irrigation, and other works that would impact the production, daily lives of people, and industrial zones."

The letter from the Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee also called on the Army, Police, youth union members, members of political and social organizations, the business community, and the people to continue providing manpower and resources to overcome the consequences of the storm and floods. This will ensure that people's lives and business activities return to normal.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan expressed: "Through the storms and floods, we have learned lessons, strengthened our capacity to respond to natural disasters, fostered unity and solidarity, gained more experience in leadership and management, overcome the consequences of storms and floods, and accelerated towards the finish line - ensuring the completion of the socio-economic development plan for 2024 - a year of striving to achieve the targets of the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025...".

Bac Ninh suffered approximately 1,000 billion VND in damage after Typhoon Yagi.
According to the report on flood relief after Typhoon Yagi (Typhoon No. 3) by the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, the province had to relocate over 650 households with more than 2,700 people whose houses were flooded or at risk of flooding in Bac Ninh City and the districts of Gia Binh, Tien Du, and Yen Phong.

It is estimated that Bac Ninh suffered approximately 1,000 billion VND in damage to infrastructure, agricultural production, and dikes and irrigation systems.
