Get ready for the Trang An Hot Air Balloon Festival!

The opening ceremony will take place at 7:30 AM on October 26th at Trang An Cultural Park. Immediately after the ceremony, locals and tourists can experience hot air balloon rides and tethering.

In addition, daily activities such as sightseeing and taking photos with hot air balloons are organized. The organizers have set up 120 booths showcasing specialties from various regions across the country, souvenir shops for tourists , and tourism booths from different provinces.

From October 18th to 29th, visitors can also experience the Ninh Binh Tourism and Culinary Festival 2024 with the theme "The Quintessence of Cuisine of the Ancient Capital". The festival will be inaugurated at 7 PM on October 18th at Ninh Binh Dinosaur Park, Square 3 (Ninh Binh City).

According to the organizers, there will be many specialty dishes from 8 districts and cities in the province, with approximately 100 booths from businesses inside and outside the province participating in the competition and exhibition.

This is a significant event that contributes to preserving, honoring, and promoting the value of traditional culinary culture, and researching and restoring dishes in the style of the ancient Hoa Lu royal court.

At the same time, the festival contributes to enhancing the value and quality of dishes from the ancient capital of Hoa Lu to serve tourists, creating a new, unique, and attractive tourism product.

To ensure the smooth organization of the festival, the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism and related agencies recently met to hear reports on the progress and implementation of the plan for organizing the Trang An - Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival and the Ninh Binh Tourism and Culinary Festival in 2024, including: ensuring infrastructure and logistics; setting up booths to display regional specialties and cuisine; areas for hot air balloon and paragliding takeoff and landing; and the light show program during the festival…

The delegates agreed that hot air ballooning and paragliding are novel and adventurous forms of tourism, therefore ensuring security and safety is paramount.

Relevant units need to focus on developing plans to ensure security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and control, and rescue operations; and implement medical and insurance measures to ensure the safety of tourists and delegates.

Currently, relevant units are accelerating coordination and support in obtaining permits for hot air balloon flights in accordance with government regulations. This includes monitoring and managing participating aircraft at the Festival according to registration, altitude, and flight paths approved by the Organizing Committee and competent authorities; participating units must have detailed flight plans (adjusted according to weather conditions, etc.), and conduct survey flights to inspect airfields and ensure safe distances from high-voltage power lines.
