Tuyen Quang Power Company currently manages and operates a total length of 290.66 km of 110kV power lines, supplying electricity to 7 substations/12 110kV transformers with a total capacity of 398 MVA; 2,423 km of medium-voltage lines; 4,709 km of low-voltage lines; and provides electricity to over 277,000 customers.

Mr. Tran Xuan Hao, Deputy Director of Tuyen Quang Power Company, said that with the determination to prevent power outages during the peak hot weather periods of 2024, from the beginning of the year, the leadership of Tuyen Quang Power Company has directed functional departments and affiliated units to strengthen technical management, regularly monitor the operating status of power lines and substations to implement specific solutions to inspect, review, and reassess the overall status of the power grid system.

In addition, thermal cameras and drones are used to inspect connections and equipment on medium-voltage lines and at distribution substations, especially lightning protection systems; damaged power poles due to natural disasters are repaired and replaced; the phase-to-ground distance of 35kV medium-voltage lines that do not meet safety regulations is increased; transformers are replaced or swapped to reduce underloading, overloading, and phase imbalance; and insulators are installed to reinforce substations.

Workers from Tuyen Quang Power Company are clearing the power line corridors to ensure electricity supply for the people.

The power sector is conducting inspections to clear vegetation along power line corridors, removing tall trees outside the corridor that pose a risk of falling onto power lines. At the same time, units are strengthening their on-call teams to handle unusual situations, and are organizing the efficient reception of power outage reports from customers to quickly resolve issues and restore power to customers as soon as possible.

Alongside its technical and operational management, Tuyen Quang Power Company also focuses on coordinating with local authorities to promote electricity conservation and guide customers on safe and efficient electricity use. Given the complex weather patterns, especially the increased electricity demand during the hot season, which can cause localized grid overload or power outages, particularly during peak hours, Tuyen Quang Power Company advises customers to continue paying attention to safe and economical electricity usage, especially when using high-power electrical appliances such as water heaters, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and clothes dryers during peak hours.
