Merge the Department of Primary Education and the Department of Secondary Education

(Dan Tri) - The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced a new organizational structure, in which the Department of Primary Education and the Department of Secondary Education merge into the Department of General Education.

The Ministryof Education and Training (MOET) has submitted to the Government Decree 37 regulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry.

Accordingly, a number of departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Education and Training were merged or reorganized.

The Department of Primary Education and the Department of Secondary Education merged into the Department of General Education. Mr. Thai Van Tai - Director of the Department of Primary Education (former) - was appointed as the Director of the new Department.

The Department of Physical Education merged with the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs to form the Department of Students.

The Department of Planning and Finance and the Department of Facilities merged into the Department of Planning and Finance.

The Department of Science, Technology and Environment merged with the Department of Information Technology to form the Department of Science, Technology and Information.

Reorganize the General Department of Vocational Education (transferred from the former Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs) and the Department of Continuing Education into the Department of Vocational Education and Continuing Education.

In addition, the Ministry of Education and Training ended the operation of the Department of Ethnic Education, transferring its functions and tasks to appropriate units under the Ministry.

Thus, the new organizational structure of the Ministry of Education and Training reduces 6 departments and 1 General Department compared to before.
