Thai Nguyen – a land renowned for its premium tea, a crucial gateway for cultural and social exchange between the Northern Midlands and Mountains and the Northern Delta – stands at a significant milestone in its history: the administrative transformation and merger into a two-tiered system. This transition moved from purely agricultural districts in the Northwest such as Phu Binh, Dai Tu, Dong Hy, and Phu Luong, to expansion towards the Northeast, encompassing traditionally rich areas of Bac Can such as Ba Be, Na Vi, and Cho Don.
