Zhou's feelings of inferiority intensified when she transferred to an international school in Shanghai. In the new environment, she noticed that many of her classmates were attractive and very confident. This fueled her desire to change herself.

Of the hundreds of cosmetic procedures she's undergone, Zhou says the bone reshaping surgery was the most painful experience. The surgery lasted over 10 hours, after which she had to remain immobile in bed for half a month, only able to eat liquid food.

Furthermore, Zhou has undergone approximately 10 eye surgeries. Despite repeated warnings from doctors about the risk of complications, she continued to seek out other medical facilities for new procedures.

According to Zhou's account, when one hospital refused to perform the surgery, she would seek out another doctor. In the process, she visited almost all the major cosmetic surgery hospitals in Shanghai.

Her drastic change in appearance meant that many old acquaintances no longer recognized her. Even within her family, her parents faced considerable pressure from outside gossip.

"When friends asked my parents if I was their daughter, they weren't willing to admit it," she confided.

After years of Zhou undergoing numerous surgeries, medical professionals began issuing stern warnings.

Dr. Lin Yonggang, who works at a private cosmetic surgery hospital in Shanghai, said Zhou should not undergo any more surgeries.

According to the doctor, if the intervention continues, she could face a series of dangerous complications such as facial muscle spasms, nerve damage, and even brain damage due to the excessive use of anesthesia.

Some doctors even suggested that further surgery could severely damage Zhou's face and leave permanent scars.
