According to the singer of "Run Away ," the process of creating the song happened quite naturally. After completing the music, he immediately thought of Tyga for the rap part and sent the product to the American rapper. However, what makes the project special is not only the music but also the connection to his roots.

Sơn Tùng believes that Tyga's Vietnamese heritage helped "Come My Way" transcend the boundaries of a typical collaboration. "This isn't just a song. It's an opportunity for both of us to reconnect with our roots," he shared. Thanks to this, they worked together more harmoniously and easily.

The male singer also emphasized that Vietnamese culture has always been the foundation of his artistic journey. Growing up surrounded by folk melodies and traditional music has not only directly influenced his aesthetic taste but also the way he handles melodies, vocal embellishments, and conveys emotions in each song.

"The way I sing is heavily influenced by traditional music. I think that's one of the things that makes me different," Son Tung said.

After more than a decade in the industry, the singer stated that preserving his identity is the most important principle in his career. According to him, by always remembering who they are and where they come from, artists will not lose themselves amidst the changes in the music market.

Sơn Tùng considers preserving his identity not a creative choice but a professional discipline, a guiding principle that helps him stay on track. "As long as I remember who I am and where I come from, I cannot lose myself or my identity," Sơn Tùng said. The singer believes his audience will remain loyal to his music because they feel that connection.

Besides sharing about his music, Son Tung also explained for the first time the intriguing detail in the after-credits scene of the " Come My Way " music video. "It's not just a worm. It's the door that opens the next chapter I've prepared for the audience," Son Tung revealed.

After years of activity and numerous steps towards the international market, "Come My Way" is considered a new milestone in Son Tung's global music strategy.
