Specifically, a notice sent to partners and customers on September 18th by the Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area Management Board stated: The price for senior citizens has doubled from 60,000 VND to 120,000 VND per person; children between 1 and 1.3 meters tall have increased from 60,000 VND to 120,000 VND; people over 1.3 meters tall have increased from 120,000 VND to 250,000 VND per person; children under 1 meter tall remain free as before. This price includes entrance to the Tam Coc - Bich Dong scenic area and the boat ride.

According to the aforementioned announcement, the upcoming regulation stipulates that each rowing boat can carry 4 Vietnamese passengers and 2 foreign passengers. Currently, the ticket price and the rowing fee are sold separately, and there is no regulation on the number of people per boat (the boat fee is collected separately at 150,000 VND/boat). The new ticket collection method for Tam Coc - Bich Dong is similar to that of the Trang An scenic area.

The management board of Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area stated that the increase in ticket prices aims to improve service quality, invest in and repair infrastructure, and enhance the tourist environment and landscape.

In early July, the Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area abruptly closed, not serving tourists throughout the summer months. It officially reopened on September 2nd after an agreement was reached between Trang An Investment, Trade and Service Company Limited and hundreds of local boatmen.

The reason for the closure is that the boatmen refused to sign labor contracts with the company. Previously, the boatmen had been rowing and receiving payment per trip from the company's ticket sales.

However, in early July, the company implemented the labor contract signing policy of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, but the boatmen refused to sign the contracts, claiming that they contained many unfavorable clauses.

During the past summer months, Tam Coc - Bich Dong closed to visitors.

After numerous meetings and dialogues, on September 1st, the company issued a commitment agreeing to fulfill the people's demands. For example, the job of the boatmen would be solely rowing, not other tasks. Working hours would be based on the actual time spent transporting tourists, not a mandatory 8-hour workday as stipulated in labor laws...

The company also committed to increasing the ferry fare for local people from 150,000 VND per trip to 200,000 VND per trip...
