On June 1st, a "spiritual" story about a girl traveling in Ninh Binh and encountering terrifying phenomena went viral on social media, attracting over 3 million views.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Bui Van Manh, Director of the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, stated that the story about encountering ghosts in Ninh Binh is inaccurate, unverified information, entirely based on emotion, and may even have used AI to create clickbait content.

Over the years, Ninh Binh has become a prominent tourist destination, attracting domestic and international visitors with its natural beauty, culture, and the people of the ancient capital. The spread of unfounded stories on social media could negatively impact the local tourism image. Therefore, the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism is requesting the police to investigate and verify the information circulating online.

According to the post, this girl took a trip to Ninh Binh from May 29th to 31st. On the first day, after checking into her room, she decided to visit Trang An on the last boat trip of the day. There was another couple on the boat as well.

Everything went normally until it started to get dark. On the way back to the dock, every time they passed a cave, she heard someone calling her name, even though she didn't know anyone on the boat. The girl tried to talk to the boatwoman, but received no response.

When the boat finally reached the shore, she encountered another strange phenomenon, unable to find her way out. According to the girl, these recurring strange occurrences made her feel uneasy.

The situation culminated on the night of May 30th, when she left a music event in Ninh Binh. She continued to encounter unusual situations, and ultimately decided to stay in Ninh Binh until the following day.

Just a few hours after being posted, this article received over 3 million views on social media. The account owner then temporarily hid the post.
