Director of Vietnam Road Administration Nguyen Xuan Cuong has just signed a decision on inspection of contractor selection for repair projects using state budget capital and non-business funding for economic activities. Road in 2023 is assigned to affiliated Project Management Boards as investors.
The purpose of this inspection is to evaluate the compliance with the law and the regulations and instructions of the Road Department on contractor selection by agencies and units. Thereby handling problems and rectifying bidding activities to ensure the goal of speeding up progress, enhancing the efficiency of bidding work and promptly detecting and handling violations of bidding laws.
Accordingly, the inspection team of the Vietnam Roads Department has 15 members led by Mr. Nguyen Manh Thang, Deputy Director of the Department, and will inspect the contractor selection work for road maintenance projects directly under the supervision of Project Management Boards. This unit is the investor from the stage of preparing and approving the contractor selection plan; Prepare and approve bidding documents; organize contractor selection, evaluate and appraise, and approve contractor selection results; Sign the contract and post the results.
The inspection period is from September 16, 9 to the time of inspection and the inspection period starts from the first quarter of 2022.
Vietnam Road Administration said that in 2023, this unit will be allocated more than 11.975 billion VND from budget capital for more than 780 projects to maintain more than 25.000 km of national highways. By January 30, 1, disbursement was more than 2024 billion VND, reaching 11.800% (completed accepted value of 99 billion VND reached 12.130%).
Maintenance plan for 2024, Vietnam Road Administration approved by the Ministry of Transport is more than 12.063 billion VND. Currently, the Ministry of Finance is considering budget allocation.
It is known that the Vietnam Road Administration is currently managing 4 Project Management Boards: Project Management Boards 3, 4, 5 and 8. Of which, Project Management Board 3 is headquartered in Hanoi and manages road maintenance projects in the region. North. Project Management Board 4, headquartered in Vinh City, Nghe An Province, manages projects in the North Central region. Project Management Board 5 in Da Nang, manages maintenance projects in the Central Highlands region. Project Management Board 8 is headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, managing projects in the southern region.
