Century Real Estate Joint Stock Company - Cen Land (CRE) has just announced information regarding a member of its board of directors. Accordingly, CRE has received the resignation letter of Mr. Pham Thanh Hung (Shark Hung).
In his resignation letter, Mr. Hung stated that he had been elected to the Cen Land board of directors for the 2023-2028 term. However, he now "wants to focus on personal matters and pursue a new direction for himself," and therefore requested to resign from his position as a member of the company's board of directors .
According to CRE, Mr. Hung's resignation will be submitted to the general shareholders' meeting for approval in accordance with regulations.
CRE's 2026 annual general meeting of shareholders is scheduled to take place on May 22nd.
Regarding business performance, in 2025, CRE's consolidated net revenue reached VND 1,323 billion, a decrease of 14% compared to the previous year. However, due to reduced cost of goods sold, the company's gross profit increased.
Furthermore, with many types of expenses being reduced, CRE's total pre-tax profit still reached VND 101 billion, nearly double that of the previous year.
Not long ago, Mr. Hung's Facebook account posted an article about the personal information he had been circulating on social media recently.
"In recent days, some inaccurate information regarding me has been circulating on social media. This unverified information is being interpreted in various ways. I hope everyone will access information carefully and from official sources," Mr. Hung said.
He also affirmed: "The startup investment activities mentioned on social media were carried out by me personally, and I assert that these activities have no legal, financial, or operational connection whatsoever with Cen Land, where I currently serve as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors."
"I understand that in a sensitive market environment, unverified or misinterpreted information can negatively impact investor and shareholder sentiment. That's why I chose to speak out early to clarify the boundaries of information and avoid unnecessary misunderstandings," Mr. Hung explained.
