Information technology students "program" their thinking to master AI

On the morning of April 17, Cao Thang Technical College (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) organized the "AI Technology" festival, attracting the participation of many students, lecturers, experts and accompanying businesses in the field of information technology.

Sharing at the festival, Mr. Nguyen Doan Minh Duc, moderator of the Tinhte.vn science and technology forum, said that instead of abusing AI anytime, anywhere, and living in a state of anxiety about AI replacing humans, students must "program" themselves to think about mastering technology and mastering AI while still in school.

"AI is a powerful support tool in performing programming steps, and we are the ones who master the nature and logic of programming. Leaving programming work to AI carries many serious risks," said Mr. Duc.

Experts say that even the smallest features created by AI can be complex and difficult to control. Moreover, AI is simply a tool that generates results based on data, it cannot replace human thinking, evaluation and especially human prudence in protecting the system.

"Trying to speed up progress by using multiple tokens can lead to serious security consequences, namely losing all the money in the programmer's bank account," Mr. Duc warned.

On this occasion, Cao Thang Technical College signed a cooperation agreement with NVIDIA Vietnam - a leading corporation in AI technology. The goal is to support educational development, improve the quality of teaching and learning; sponsor information technology events of the school; promote the connection between education and business practice.

Dr. Le Dinh Kha, Principal of Cao Thang Technical College, said: "The school aims to effectively enhance the application of AI in the training process. This includes improving the quality of teaching and learning, updating the training program to meet the actual needs of businesses, focusing on developing digital capacity and AI application ability for students, and further strengthening close ties with the business community."
