Ngo Quyen Secondary School (Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City) is one of the schools that were newly built in the 2023-2024 school year.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the project to build 4,500 classrooms will address the pressure of overcrowded school spaces in various areas. It will meet the demand for schools, classrooms, and classrooms to effectively implement the 2018 General Education Program. At the same time, it will complete the planning network of schools and education in Ho Chi Minh City, ensuring that 100% of students attend school for two sessions per day and that the student-to-class ratio meets the standards stipulated in the regulations of schools at all levels.
With the aforementioned goal in mind, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training stated that in November, they will hold working sessions with relevant departments and agencies, along with the People's Committee of Thu Duc City and 21 districts, to identify optimal and effective solutions to promote investment in the development of the school network and increase the number of classrooms in the 2023-2025 period.
Students enthusiastically participate in activities at their new school.
The head of the Department of Education and Training informed that they will submit proposals to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee regarding a project to build 4,500 classrooms.
Specifically, the Department of Education and Training will propose that the city prioritize and balance funding for these projects.
The Department of Education and Training proposes that departments and agencies such as finance, planning and investment... coordinate closely in the work, disbursement, and urging the acceleration of project progress, while focusing on resolving difficulties and obstacles of each specific project according to their functions and authority.
For the project to build 4,500 classrooms to succeed, the departments also need to coordinate in reviewing and proposing solutions to increase the land available for school construction.
