Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Association of the Blind, Hoang Manh Cuong, said: The "Faith and Light" Festival 2025 is a major event for the Association, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 27th anniversary of Vietnam's Disabled Persons Day (April 18). This event is also a practical activity to celebrate the 56th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Association of the Blind (April 17, 1969 - April 17, 2025), and to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Association of the Blind (July 3, 1970 - July 3, 2025).

Through this event, the Organizing Committee hopes to strengthen interaction and sharing between the community and visually impaired people; create opportunities for visually impaired people to introduce themselves and the activities of the City Association of the Blind; and affirm and honor visually impaired people who have effectively followed President Ho Chi Minh 's teaching "Disabled but not useless" to contribute to the Association, the Capital, and the country.
