From a sustainability initiative to a record-breaking milestone.

Stemming from Panasonic's commitment to Green Impact to reduce CO₂ emissions and in response to the government 's plan to plant one billion trees between 2021 and 2025, Panasonic launched the "Live Healthy, Contribute Green" campaign in 2022. Beyond just tree planting, the program strongly promotes environmental awareness within the community. From its inception, the campaign has received widespread support from local authorities, government agencies, customers, and partners, all working together to translate the initiative into practical action.

In just three years since its launch, the campaign has "greened" 1,071,300 trees across 20 provinces and cities from North to South, using 17 carefully selected tree species. Over the next 10 years, these saplings have the potential to absorb 108,000 tons of CO2, helping to mitigate the impact of climate change. This achievement has made Panasonic the company that successfully initiated and implemented the planting of one million trees in the shortest time. This is not only a proud milestone but also clear evidence of Panasonic's perseverance and practical contribution to building a green Vietnam, moving towards a sustainable future.

To commemorate this significant milestone, Panasonic held a record-setting ceremony on March 18, 2025, with a series of activities including a visit to the protected forest in Soc Trang and a record-breaking ceremony at the Hoa Binh Wind Farm. This was also an opportunity for Panasonic to express its gratitude for the support and trust from the government, ministries, customers, partners, and employees – those who have joined hands on the journey towards planting one million trees.

At the event, Mr. Cao Minh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Center for Resource and Environment Communication, shared: “The ‘Healthy Living, Green Contribution’ program is a clear example of corporate social responsibility, bringing long-term value to the environment and the community. We highly appreciate Panasonic’s vision and efforts and will continue to support and facilitate the widespread dissemination of such meaningful activities, contributing to building a greener and more sustainable Vietnam.”

“This is not just an achievement for Panasonic alone, but the result of the collective efforts of the entire community. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to over 1 million customers, Gen Z youth, partners, and the entire Panasonic team, who have been with us and worked tirelessly throughout this time,” said Mr. Marukawa Yoichi, General Director of Panasonic Vietnam.

Continuing the journey of inspiring sustainable green practices.

Beyond planting one million trees, the program also spreads and inspires a sense of green responsibility within the community. Not only have people planted trees, but many consumers have gradually changed their daily habits: saving electricity, prioritizing eco-friendly products, and acting for the betterment of nature… These small but sustainable changes have become part of Panasonic's green journey.

As part of the "Live Healthy, Contribute Green" program, Panasonic also organized a series of awareness-raising activities, most notably four field trips over three years, attracting a large number of customers and young people. These trips also received significant attention on various media channels, creating a wave of lively interaction and strongly spreading the message of green living. In particular, Panasonic also helps users track the growth of the trees through a unique code on the program website, demonstrating the transparency and long-term commitment of the company to the campaign.

Furthermore, to realize its commitment to Green Impact, Panasonic also focuses on developing solutions with green technologies. Notable examples include nanoe™ X technology to improve air quality, AI-integrated ECO technology in its air conditioners, and Inverter technology in its refrigerators and washing machines to save energy. In addition, Panasonic uses environmentally friendly R32 refrigerant and implements a series of initiatives to reduce CO2 emissions, spreading sustainable living to the community through inspiring campaigns such as "Leading Green Living" and "Panasonic for a Green Vietnam"...

After a three-year journey of implementing the "Live Healthy, Contribute Green" program, Panasonic has not only successfully planted 1 million trees in the shortest time but has also contributed to raising awareness and inspiring environmental protection in the community. Not stopping at this 1 million tree mark, Panasonic is committed to further promoting green initiatives and practical actions towards a Net Zero future.
