On March 18th, Filum AI, a Vietnamese AI startup, announced that it had successfully raised $1 million from reputable regional investment funds including Nextrans, VinVentures, TheVentures, and strategic investors: Hung Tran (Founder of Got It, Founder of AIforVietnam.org, SteamForVietnam.org), Tran Anh Dung (Founder of MOG), and several other individual investors.
Founded in 2020 by experts from Silicon Valley and Vietnam, Filum AI aims to help businesses achieve sustainable growth through comprehensive CX management solutions utilizing AI technology. It is led by CEO Tran Van Vien – co-founder of Base.vn, with over 10 years of experience in digital transformation.
Despite the current "winter" of fundraising, the successful fundraising by a Vietnamese AI startup clearly demonstrates the strong confidence and high expectations from investors. "This is one of the rare startups with strong technological capabilities, a strategic vision, and the ability to create tangible value for businesses," shared a representative from the technology investment fund VinVentures. This is also one of VinVentures' first investments since its launch in October 2024.
The new funding will help the startup expand its R&D team, accelerate product development, improve customer support, and enter the Southeast Asian market.
Mr. Tran Van Vien - CEO of Filem AI - believes that the $1 million funding will be a strong driving force to help the company further accelerate the development of advanced AI products, especially AI Agents, to help businesses optimize costs, improve customer experience, and operate more efficiently.
"In the context of AI becoming an irreversible trend, we hope that this deal will open up more opportunities for cooperation, not only in terms of financial investment but also in strategy and technology, thereby helping Vietnam gradually become a leading AI hub in the region," Mr. Vien emphasized.
