(Dan Tri Newspaper) - A video capturing the moment a little girl burst into tears when a boy gave flowers to his girlfriend on Valentine's Day has unexpectedly garnered nearly 5 million views on social media.

On Valentine's Day evening (February 14th), My Hao (27 years old, living in Tu Son city, Bac Ninh province) invited some close friends over for dinner.

Upon arriving, Nguyen Thi Quynh (21 years old) hugged little Dao Thai Uyen Thu (over 2 years old, affectionately known as Lucy, Hao's daughter), without noticing that her boyfriend Tran Manh Kien (22 years old) had secretly prepared flowers and gifts.

When Kien approached with flowers and gifts in his hands, both Quynh and little Uyen Thu were overwhelmed with emotion.

The little girl jumped for joy, excitedly reaching out to receive the bouquet, but Kien gave the flowers to his girlfriend instead, causing her to burst into tears. Meanwhile, Quynh also cried, moved to tears, playfully scolding her boyfriend.

Hearing her child crying, My Hao came out of the kitchen and, witnessing the adorable moment between the two, recorded a video as a keepsake. Little Uyen Thu quickly ran towards her mother, while Kien approached to comfort his crying girlfriend.

"Lucy is a very affectionate baby, and when she felt disappointed, she cried and sulked. I held her and comforted her for a while, and she stopped crying," the mother recalled.

My Hao said that her husband, Quang Thai (33 years old, a photographer), had previously given Valentine's Day gifts to her and their daughter. Seeing their daughter crying so much, the next day he bought another bouquet of sweets and candies specifically for Uyen Thu.

The mother confided that her child's reaction was "a bit mature," and everyone in the house teased her for being "jealous" of Ms. Quynh. When she received the gift from her father, the child smiled brightly and was no longer sulking.

After posting the video on social media, My Hao was surprised to receive nearly 5 million views and hundreds of thousands of likes and comments overnight.

Netizens mistakenly thought baby Uyên Thư was the daughter of the couple Quỳnh and Mạnh Kiên, jokingly saying, "The baby should wait until she grows up to receive her own flowers and gifts."

"I was quite surprised that a moment of my child expressing emotions received so much attention. I also found it funny that many people 'invented' the story in a different way, so I immediately clarified it under the video," Hao said.

Quỳnh herself was surprised by the situation in the video, which could easily be misinterpreted by viewers. She and her boyfriend live in Bắc Ninh, have been friends for four years, and have been officially dating for one year.

Both of them were former employees at Mr. Thai's coffee shop, and they often came to his house to look after little Uyen Thu when he and his wife were away. From then on, the little girl considered them as family.

"The whole family found the baby's adorable moment hilarious," Quỳnh said.
