To celebrate her 25th birthday, Nguyen Hoang Linh (Coc Leu ward, Lao Cai city) chose to go to the highlands of Y Ty (Bat Xat) to participate in a "Photo tour," capturing beautiful memories as she enters a new age.

Nguyen Hoang Linh decided to choose Y Ty for a "Photo Tour" because it was the season for hawthorn blossoms. With a 2-day, 1-night itinerary, Hoang Linh and a few friends "checked in" and captured memorable moments at several tourist spots in Y Ty. Throughout the journey, the tour guide acted as both a companion and advisor, helping Linh take beautiful photos.

Nguyen Hoang Linh shared: "Although the road to Y Ty is quite long, difficult, and time-consuming, the hardship was well worth it when I had truly 'chill' moments and many beautiful photos with the hawthorn flowers of the Y Ty mountains..."

According to tour guide Dung Dang from Mimosa Tourism Co., Ltd.: With regular tours, tourists can still capture memorable moments with their personal cameras or smartphones. However, if you truly want the freedom to express your love of photography, to comfortably capture beautiful images as you wish without being constrained by travel schedules or limited time for photography as in traditional package tours, then only a "Photo tour" can satisfy the needs of tourists who are both passionate about travel and photography.

Hoai Thuong, a tourist from Hanoi who experienced a "Photo tour," said: "With a 'Photo tour,' the guide acts as a leader and helps me capture beautiful moments. Combining tourism, sightseeing, and photography, I enjoyed the trip more and always had beautiful photos as a 'gift' for myself while traveling."

Nowadays, many people, especially young people, want to capture beautiful photos of the places they visit. Furthermore, the beauty of these photos enhances the attractiveness and experience for tourists.

To make a "Photo tour" appealing, in addition to knowing common tourist destinations, tour guides must constantly update their knowledge of new, unique, and lesser-known locations to create appeal. Furthermore, guides need to have a passion for photography and understand the right time, place, and setting for tourists to fully experience the trip.

Nowadays, many tour guides have caught up with the trend, innovating themselves to improve the quality of service by learning photography skills, investing in cameras, and even lighting and accompanying accessories.

Nguyen Hung, a freelance tour guide in Sa Pa town, said: "I had to teach myself photography to both pursue my passion and enhance the experience for tourists. Knowledge can be learned, but passion is essential so that after their visit, tourists can take beautiful photos of Sa Pa."

Photo tours – a type of tourism combining two elements: "tours" – traditional travel – and "photos" – pictures taken during the trip – are becoming a popular trend among tourists in the digital age. This is also a new direction that tourism professionals are paying attention to and investing in, aiming to innovate tourism products and meet the diverse needs of various customer segments.
